  1. Pilot-Operated Design (DBE6 vs. DBET)

    This valve uses a two-stage design: a small direct-operated pilot stage controls a larger main spool stage. This allows it to handle high flows (30 L/min)​ with low hysteresis, making it suitable for main system relief​ applications. This is a key difference from the DBET series, which are only for pilot flow or very small circuits.

  2. External Pilot Drain (Y)

    The "Y"​ in the model code indicates external pilot drain. Port Y (pilot control oil drain) must be connected directly to tank with minimal backpressure. High backpressure at port Y will directly reduce the effective cracking pressure (P_effective = P_set - P_Y). This is critical for accurate pressure control.

  3. Pressure Rating (315 bar)

    The "315"​ denotes the maximum electrically adjustable pressure rating​ of 315 bar. The valve's mechanical pressure limit is higher (350 bar), providing a safety margin. The working pressure at port P must not exceed 350 bar.

  4. External Electronics Required (/K4)

    The suffix /K4​ indicates a 3-pole plug socket​ for connection to an external control amplifier​ (e.g., Rexroth VT-5000 series). The valve itself has no on-board electronics (OBE), so you must provide an external amplifier that delivers the controlled current (up to ~1.76 A) to the solenoid.

  5. Critical Installation Notes

    • External Amplifier:​ Mandatory. The valve cannot function without an external amplifier to drive the solenoid.

    • Subplate Mounting:​ Requires an NG6 subplate (ISO 4401-03-02-0-05). The valve itself has no integrated ports.

    • Return Line Pressure:​ Port T and Port Y must be kept at low pressure (ideally tank pressure). High backpressure will reduce the effective setting pressure.
