DR is constant pressure control only. DFR adds flow control via an external pilot signal, allowing both pressure limitation and variable flow demand ideal for load sensing systems.
Yes. Always fill the pump housing with clean hydraulic oil through the case drain port to remove trapped air. Make sure the case drain line goes above the tank oil level and check that motor rotation matches the pump left hand direction.
