No. The A4VSO series is designed exclusively for open circuit open loop systems. For closed circuits use the A4VG or A4VM series.

Q2: What is the difference between DR and DFR control?

DR is constant pressure control only. DFR adds flow control via an external pilot signal, allowing both pressure limitation and variable flow demand ideal for load sensing systems.

Q3: Do I need to fill the pump with oil before first start?

Yes. Always fill the pump housing with clean hydraulic oil through the case drain port to remove trapped air. Make sure the case drain line goes above the tank oil level and check that motor rotation matches the pump left hand direction.
