Pilot-Operated Design (DBE6X vs. DBET)
This valve uses a two-stage design: a small direct-operated pilot stage controls a larger main spool stage. This allows it to handle high flows (40 L/min) with low hysteresis, making it suitable for main system relief applications. This is a key difference from the DBET series, which are only for pilot flow or very small circuits.
Low-Power Coil (0.8 A)
The "-8" suffix indicates a low-power coil with a maximum current of 0.8 A. This reduces power consumption and heat generation compared to standard 2.5 A coils, making it compatible with smaller, more efficient external amplifiers.
Pressure Rating (180 bar)
The "180" denotes the maximum electrically adjustable pressure rating of 180 bar. The valve's mechanical pressure limit (with maximum coil current) is higher (approx. 315 bar), providing a safety margin. The working pressure at port P must not exceed 315 bar.
External Electronics Required (NZ4)
The NZ4 connector indicates a proportional solenoid without on-board electronics (OBE). You must use an external proportional amplifier (e.g., Rexroth VT-5000 series or equivalent) to convert a command signal (0–10 V, 4–20 mA) into the controlled coil current.
Critical Installation Notes
External Amplifier: Mandatory. The valve cannot function without an external amplifier to drive the solenoid.
Subplate Mounting: Requires an NG6 subplate (ISO 4401-03-02-0-94). The valve itself has no integrated ports.
Return Line Pressure: Port T pressure must be kept low (ideally tank pressure). High backpressure at T will reduce the effective cracking pressure (P_effective = P_set - P_T).
