The electric input signal (e.g., 0-10 V) activates the proportional solenoid, which moves the pilot spool; pilot oil pressure then displaces the main spool proportionally to the input signal.
Analog signals (e.g., ±10 V) are standard; some variants with integrated electronics (OBE) may support digital signals.
Modify the electrical input signal amplitude; flow rate increases proportionally with signal strength (within the valve's maximum flow rating).
The solenoids de-energize, and centering springs return the main spool to the central position, stopping flow to working ports.
Activate the opposite proportional solenoid (e.g., solenoid "A" for P→A/B→T, solenoid "B" for P→B/A→T).
