Spool Type (C5)
The C5 spool is a zero-overlap (critical center) spool with servo-valve quality. This design provides high linearity and fast response, ideal for closed-loop control applications. The "B40L" indicates a specific flow gain characteristic (40 L/min with linear characteristic "L").
Control & Feedback (/F1)
The /F1 suffix indicates a 4...20 mA current input for the command signal. This is a key difference from the /A1 variants (which use ±10V). The valve features integrated LVDT position feedback, enabling full closed-loop control of the spool position. It has integrated on-board electronics (OBE), so it does not require an external amplifier.
High Dynamic Performance
As a direct-acting valve with integrated electronics, the 4WRPEH series offers high frequency response and fast step response. It is suitable for applications requiring servo-like performance with the robustness of a proportional valve.
Fail-Safe Behavior
This valve is single-side actuated (single proportional solenoid with spring return). In the event of power failure or signal loss (current < 2 mA), the spring returns the spool to a defined 4/4 fail-safe position (typically all ports blocked or P to B, A to T, depending on spool configuration).
Critical Installation Notes
Cleanliness: Maintain high oil cleanliness (recommended ISO 4406 18/16/13 or better) due to the sensitive servo-type spool and sleeve assembly.
Current Signal: The /F1 version uses a 4...20 mA current loop, which is less susceptible to noise than voltage signals over long cable runs. Ensure your PLC or controller outputs a current signal.
